Our Learning Programs

Every child learns at an individual pace, which is why we provide programs that help every student grow and thrive. Our academic services include the following:

JBE offers a wide variety of after-school enrichment courses that include Chess Club, 3-D printing, Running Club, yoga, and art.

Discovery Kids

Discovery Kids is the before- and after-school care program offered for students at Jack Barnes Elementary. Discovery Kids provides educational and fun activities including homework time, sports, arts and crafts, science, math, and access to district technology. Care is also available on early release days and during intersession breaks. Discovery Kids is located on our campus and financial assistance is available. Principal's Advisory Committee (Pride PAC)

Third through sixth grade students meet with the principal on a regular basis to discuss student concerns, suggestions, or issues.

Student Council

We are proud to support a student government organization that serves as the voice of Jack Barnes Elementary. Officers that are voted in by the student body include a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and council representatives. Student Council focuses on planning school-wide student activities, social events, and our Student Council staff adviser is Mrs. Portillo.
