Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Jack Barnes Elementary is supported by a very involved PTO. Through various fundraising events, the PTO sponsors many enrichment and social activities including the math and science lab, some field trips, and teacher “mini grants.” One exciting annual event to look forward to is the Step It Up fundraiser in the fall.

Joining and volunteering with the PTO is a great way to make a difference in your child’s education and meet other school families. Feel free to contact any of the PTO officers with questions, ideas, or to volunteer.

Volunteers Welcome!

We always need and welcome volunteers for the Jack Barnes Elementary PTO. Contact the school office at (480) 987-7400 or email our PTO for more information.

During the day, we need classroom assistants, small group leaders, one-on-one tutors, and playground supervisors. Parents and legal guardians can volunteer immediately. All others will need to contact the school stating they are interested in volunteering then following the volunteer step-by-step instructions listed on the Volunteer page regarding volunteers. There are many ways to help on your own time if you are not able to come to school during the day. If you are interested in volunteering, contact your child’s teacher. Teachers have many tasks you can complete at home for parents who need to stay at home with younger children.

Art Masterpiece

We are pleased to participate in Art Masterpiece, a volunteer-led art program providing students with an introduction to elements and principles of art, along with art history, and art appreciation.

Please contact PTO to get in touch with Art Masterpiece coordinators.
